Cookie Policy

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar trackers (localStorage) may be used to remember your preferences.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

Essential for the service to work — no consent required:

• Authentication session (NextAuth)
• CSRF security and form protection
• Functional preferences (selected store, display currency)
• Interface language: pp_locale (fr or en, 12 months), set when you choose a language
• Team / dashboard context cookie, where applicable

3. Analytics cookies (audience measurement)

PostHog (EU hosting) — product usage statistics, pages visited, anonymized or pseudonymized events. Consent required: a banner on your first visit, with a refuse option as visible as the accept option. Nothing is set until you have accepted.

4. Affiliate cookie

If you arrive through a partner link (?ref= or /r/CODE), the pp_aff_ref cookie is only set after the same acceptance. Duration: 60 days, first-party, httpOnly. It is used to credit the partner with a commission, not to retarget you. If you refuse, this cookie is not set.

5. Marketing cookies

ProfitPilotPro does not set any advertising or retargeting cookies on the profitpilotpro.fr website. Meta/TikTok/Google pixels are configured on the merchant's Shopify store, under the merchant's responsibility and subject to its visitors' consent.

6. ProfitPilotPro tracker cookies on a merchant's store

The merchant who installs our tracker is the controller for the processing carried out on their store: they must declare these cookies in their own policy and obtain their visitors' consent (Shopify banner). In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, nothing is set without an expressed choice.
